Is your services and products covered by Medicare?

Unfortunately our services and products are not covered by Medicare. If you are a member of a private health fund or health body some services may be covered.
Are you registered with the NDIS, DVA, MASS or other health bodies?
​
Yes! We are a Registered Provider for the NDIS, MASS, DVA and other health bodies. For more information about what services are covered under your health care package please contact your relevant health body.
Does my private health insurance cover your products and services?
​
We are a Registered Provider for Bupa and Medibank Private, as well as various other private health insurance groups, however coverage is based solely on the type of cover you have under your policy. Please check with your insurer.
Do I need a referral?
​
You do not need a referral for a consultation with us. Some health bodies (such as DVA) require a referral from an orthopaedic surgeon, rheumatologist or podiatrist. It is also useful to have a referral if you are claiming through a health fund. If you have had previous treatment or surgery for complex problems it helps to have your medical history or diagnoses.
Can anyone have custom built shoes?

Yes they can. We don't usually encourage our clients to get custom shoes built unless its absolutely necessary. To create a custom built pair of shoes can be quite time consuming and the materials can also become quite expensive. This is why if we can get our clients into medical grade prefabricated shoes (with modifications if need be) we will as it will save a significant amount of money.
Can you create a shoe in any colour or style?

Our Pedorthist loves a creative challenge. Whilst our aim is to reduce pain, assist mobility and to maintain independence we also believe that this can be done in style! For those who want something other than a plain black shoe we are more than happy to accomodate! Pink, purple, black and white check, whatever you want we will be happy to give it a go!
Do you offer Home Visits?

Yes! We can offer home visits, please contact our office if you wish to inquire about this service.
Do you offer a Travel Clinic?
​
Yes we do! Once a month on a Thursday we offer a northern clinic to Gympie, Maryborough and Hervey Bay. We also offer clients in and around Brisbane appointments every Friday. Check on our Services page for more information.
Can you post shoes when they're completed?
​
We can! If you are a new customer or have feet that need a little bit more attention than most we will need to do a final fitting before you take them home to ensure that the shoes fit perfectly. For repairs or for repeat customers we are happy to post the shoes to your home.
How do I know what service and products my feet require?

At your initial assessment and consultation our Pedorthist will recommend a customised treatment plan targeted to your needs.
Can you modify branded shoes?
​
We can modify nearly any shoe you like as long as the materials are compatible and the style of shoe caters to the needs of your feet. If you want to know if a pair of shoes is compatible send us a quick link to the pair you've got your eyes on and we will let you know!
